Congratulations to Mike Dewsbury who has just returned from Andalucía, Spain where he finished fourth in the Junior European Open!

Mike played four qualifying rounds on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Two were played on the Alcaidesa Links Course and two on the Alcaidesa Heathland Course. Both courses have a SS of 72. On Thursday, he played in the Sponsorship Day.

Mike was one of the top twenty six competitors who qualified from the four rounds and went through to the Grand Final. The final was played on the Finca Cortesin Course, which also has a SS of 72, and is the "Home of the World Volvo Matchplay Championships".

Mike reported that "The experience was very enjoyable and of great value. The Courses were superb and the weather beautiful, unlike last year when there was torrential rain. I would like to thank Brocton for giving me this opportunity by entering me for this competition again".

To come fourth in an International Event is absolutely brilliant. We are delighted for Mike and very proud of him.
