Wins for Mia & Fern in the County Championships!

Yesterday the Staffordshire County Ladies Golf Association held their Junior Championships and what a day it was for Brocton Junior members.

Rabbits Trophy Winner 2014In the morning the younger ones, those with club handicaps, played their 9-hole competition at Branston Golf Club.

As you can see Mia-Evie Rowe won that competition with stiff opposition for some older girls.

Mia retains the trophy for Brocton which was won last year by Hannah Golding.

Brilliant win Mia.

Junior Trophy Report - 25th Apr 2014

What a rubbish day weather-wise it turned out to be with a lot of rain and a chilly wind. We had 23 juniors playing and not one of them came off the Course - amazing. This in spite of the fact that I kept asking those playing 9-holes if they wish to go in. I got a resounding "No - we're fine!" (not sure about the helpers though). Despite the weather there were some excellent scores posted.

Captain's Charity AM-AM 2014

The Captain's Charity AM-AM will be on Sunday 3rd August 2014 and will be in support of The British Heart Foundation and The Malaria Centre at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine which houses the largest number of malaria researchers, students and support staff in Europe.

ENTRY FEE £88.00 per team of four Handicap Limit Men - 20, Ladies - 30

ONLY TWO Brocton Hall members permitted in any team

Please return the ENTRY form with your Cheque to the Manager's Office BHGC with an SAE for your Starting times.

New Junior/Family Social Golf Evenings!

A new Junior/Family Social Golf Evening is going to be starting up on May 2nd, meeting every Friday until September 26th.

Tee off between 4.30 and 5.30. No priority.

The aim is to get ALL of the junior section playing together because in junior competitions only those in their respective Divisions play together, to play more social golf and to meet other youngsters and their parents.
