What great weather and excellent Course condition. You can see that a few players took advantage of both.
In Division A, both Hannah and Lewis played to their handicaps, with Hannah winning by virtue of a better back 9. There were no handicap changes.
With Joe scoring 38 points in Division B, not only did he win but, reduced his Blue Tee handicap by 3 shots down to 32. Keep it going Joe.
By scoring 19 points, which included a penalty shot (!), Mia Rowe not only won but reduced her handicap by another 2 shots down to 12. I have informed Mia that it would be rather embarrassing (for both of us) to have a single-figure handicap playing only 9 holes. So, I am refusing to let her play in any more 9-hole competitions and informed her that she needs to get her 18-hole handicap. Tough or what? The thing is, I know she can do it. Watch this space.
Due to a personal commitment, I was delayed getting to the club. So, my thanks to Diane Bell for starting the competition and for getting the juniors organised (if there is such a thing?) and to John Perkin for looking after the first and 10th tees. Many thanks as always to our on-Course helpers, Alison Fearnley, Caroline Greatrex, Bob Heaton, Jane Parrott and Sue Ward. Thanks everyone, the juniors couldn't manage without you.
