Bethan retains Junior Trophy

Bethan’s playing handicap has been reduced by 5 shots in the past week and she is now down to 26. I really must mention Maria who since the beginning of this month has reduced her playing handicap by 3 shots. However you should know that apart from our two competitions over the Easter period, Maria has been playing in competitions across the County, including the Staffordshire School Trials, the County Girls Championship and playing in the Ladies Competitions at Brocton. So that is an excellent achievement Maria. I am sure it will continue. Welcome back to Ellie Treadwell who has been having treatment for a bad back. Good to see you playing again Ellie.

Division A CONGU; CSS 69/70. The first five scores were:-

1st Bethan Ashley-Brown Nett 66
2nd  Maria-Tiffany Thompson    Nett 69
3rd Alfie Poole  Nett 70
4th Ellie Treadwell  Nett 71
5th   James Sutton  Nett 71

In Division B Charlie romped home with 37 points. In recognition of this we have reduced his handicap by 1 shot down to 35. Well played Charlie and all the others in what were quite challenging conditions.

1st  Charlie  Mears    37 points
2nd   David Haenelt 29 points
3rd  Thomas Efford  21 points

9-Hole Stableford

Well, Elliott won last week but Richard won this week. A good tussle going on between you guys, which is good for golf. However, this was only Oliver’s second competition and he was only one point behind, so look out everyone.

1st  Richard Haenelt 15 points
2nd  Elliott Clark    13 points
3rd  Oliver Nichols   12 points

Many thanks to our Starter, John Perkin and to our On-Course helpers, Jenny Bulman, Jane Plant and Paul Sutton. Thanks to Nicki Bowen for again entering the scores and for finalizing the competition.
