1. Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2)

Out of bounds is defined by the line between the course-side points at ground level of white stakes and fence posts and by barbed wire strung along the hedgerows.

2.Practice Putting Green (Rule 13.1f)

The practice putting green is a wrong green and free relief is required to be taken.

3. Dropping Zones (are relief areas under Rule 14.3)

i) When playing the 5th hole a ball coming to rest anywhere on the path extending from the upper 6th tee to the lower 6th tee may be played from the dropping zone at the back of the 6th tee. 

ii) When playing the 9th hole, if a ball finds the yellow penalty area left of the 9th green, the player may (a)Take stroke-and-distance relief under Rule 17.1d(1), adding one penalty stroke or (b) Drop the original ball or another ball in the dropping zone before the lake, adding one penalty stroke. The player may not take back-on-the-line relief under Rules 17.1d(2)

iii) The fenced area in front of the drop zone is a no-play zone. Players must take penalty relief under rule 17.1d or 17.2.

iv) When playing the 14th hole, if a ball comes to rest on the tarmacadam, the ball must be played from the dropping zone at the back of the 14th green.  

4. Abnormal Course Conditions (including Immovable Obstructions) (Rule 16)

i) Ground under repair is defined by any area encircled by a white line. All GUR is a no play zone.

ii) Growing daffodils are deemed to be GUR

iii) Areas in bunkers where sand has been removed by the movement of water resulting in deep furrows through the sand are ground under repair.

iv) The fence protecting the 16th tee is an immovable obstruction.

v) Immovable obstructions close to putting green (i.e. sprinkler heads). The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction is within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball. 

vi) Trees which are staked or otherwise identified or protected (e.g. by wrapping) are no play zones.
