Report on the October Stableford

Well - I think that Jay (Atkin) must have been playing a different Course to everybody else! An outstanding Score Jay for a Course that was playing very long. Many Congratulations on your win.

This year has been an excellent one for Jay, he has moved from the Red Tees, to the Yellow and (since the Junior Championship) now plays from the Whites. For the rest of the competitors you will be pleased to hear that the outcome for your handicaps was “Reductions Only”. Do I hear a roar of approval?

The CSS were 73/72/74, White/Yellow/Red tees in that order. Results are:-

CONGU handicaps
1st        Jay Atkin                      39 Points          Handicap Reduction 3.5 Now playing off 28.7

2nd       Hannah Golding            32

3rd       Oliver Clark                   29

4th        David Haenelt               28

A very warm welcome to Alexander Kirsch (brother of Daniel), who played in his first competition today. Hope you enjoyed it Alex. Full results can, of course, be found on the web site.

Now, what about our super juniors who play from the Blue Tees? Very well done to you all, it wasn’t easy out there. Richard was as steady as ever, winning this Division with 17 points and he didn’t score on two holes. When Thomas “gets going” he hits a super ball, he scored 13 points and didn’t score on four holes.

Blue Tee 9 holes
1st Richard Haenelt - 17 points

2nd Thomas Fossdal-White - 13 points.

3rd Elliot Clark - 10 points

Many thanks to Nicki for being on the Course with our Blue Tee juniors, for entering the cards and finalizing the CONGU competition. If there are any mistakes with our Blue Tee juniors, that will be down to me!
